DO you think you’ve got what it takes to be Solent’s next big thing?
Solent students from the Sports Coaching and Development course are busy prepping and hosting auditions for the charity event ‘Solent’s Got Talent’.
Events coordinator Kathryn Todd and her team were busy holding auditions at Popworld in Bedford Place for the event, which will be held in the same venue.
They are looking for a variety of acts to take to the stage in order to raise money for Comic Relief.
Michael Bada says: “I think Solent’s Got Talent Event will be a success for the group organisers, acts and more importantly Comic relief charity we are working with. So far, we have had a lot of positive feedback regarding this event and I hope it is something that will continue in the future.”
The live shows are set to begin in March, where it will be up to the audience to vote for the act they think deserve to win!
However, this isn’t the first time this event has been run, taking place last year by one of the members, the team decided to make the event bigger this time around.
Michael Bada says; “I think this diverse talent is an brilliant idea as they’re not many opportunities to perform in front of a decent crowd base.”
