Emily Mesher, assistant manager at O’Neill’s, expressed her excitement at the opening: “We’re all feeling really excited about the new opening, it’s a real improvement for all aspects of the business in regards to our products and environment.”

“The appearance of it will certainly entice new customers, especially for Christmas groups and those wanting festive meals. The next closest one is Winchester so we definitely have the market for it in Southampton. We can’t wait for everyone to see it.”

O’Neill’s will be serving a range of food and drink.

A new website for O’Neil’s Southampton is promising live sport and live music every week.

There is also a range of menus, catering to vegetarians and vegans as well as a £5 lunch deal.

There are nearly 50 O’Neill’s pubs across the UK. To celebrate the launch, O’Neill has offered 50% off drinks.

The pub is located on Above Bar Street and is surrounded by other bars and pubs such as Grumpy Monkey and Scholars arms.
