THE Coca-Cola truck carried on its ‘’iconic’’ tour by visiting Southampton today.
For many, catching a glimpse of the Coca-Cola truck is a sign for many that Holiday Season is under way as hundreds queued outside the Guildhall to enjoy the Coca-Cola experience where families could pose for a photo, explore their mystical winter wonderland and enjoy a free can of Coca-Cola.
Aedamar Howlett, marketing director for Coca-Cola Great Britain said: “Coca-Cola is synonymous with the Christmas season and it’s no secret that our much-loved Christmas Truck Tour marks the unofficial countdown to Christmas.
‘’We can’t wait to reveal this year’s route and start spreading holiday cheer across the UK.”
This was the sixth year in a row that the truck has been touring the UK bringing cheer to thousands of people.
Coca-Cola has also rolled out its festive Christmas commercial titled ‘Holidays Are Coming’* will also return to screens this November, along with a brand new TV advert called ‘Coke for Christmas’ which will air on TV screens in December.
Civic Chiefs were also delighted at the news, Southampton City Council leader Simon Letts told Solent Journalism ‘’The Coca-Cola truck will bring an extra bit of Christmas Cheer to Guildhall square today.
‘’Over 1,000 people turned out at the event last year despite bad weather, however, we are expecting a large turnout throughout the day today’’.
The tour continues across the UK finishing in Leicester Square, Central London on Tuesday, December 20th.
