Lewis Capaldi cancels concert at O2 Guildhall

AROUND 1,750 fans have been left without plans tonight after Lewis Capaldi cancelled his show.

The singer/songwriter has cancelled his concert tonight at Southampton’s O2 Guildhall due to vocal issues.

Tonight would have been Lewis Capaldi‘s first time playing in Southampton with a sold out show. His career was kickstarted in 2018 after he supported Rag’n’Bone Man and Bastille.

Twitter is being flooded with disappointment and upset starting just minutes after Capaldi announced the cancellation on his Instagram story.

Some of his fans had even travelled over from the USA just to see Lewis Capaldi perform.

Even though fans are frustrated, many are sending out well wishes to their favourite artist as well as expressing concerns over the other dates.

Capaldi was supposed to play at the Guildhall tonight

Lewis Capaldi posted an apology on his Instagram story saying:

“This morning I had an urgent checkup with an ENT (ear nose and throat) doctor and they’ve told me to have any chance of finishing the tour we’ll need to cancel tonight’s show at O2 Guildhall in Southampton”.

Although there hasn’t been any confirmation of him rescheduling, in the Instagram story he said he was hoping to play in Southampton soon.

Fans will be able to get a full refund from wherever they bought the tickets.
